Collaboration
Overview
The Computing Center at Cox Hall includes several collaborative work areas that offer flexible space for study groups, class breakout sessions or presentation preparation.
Plasma Stations
The Plasma Pole, Lemon and Lime are equipped with plasma displays with Matisse SMART overlays, giving them touch-screen capabilities and electronic whiteboard features. Using the built-in workstations, students can brainstorm papers, study content from a Blackboard course site, practice PowerPoint presentations or watch videos/dvds for class projects.
Collaboration Corner (GRAPE)
The Collaboration Corner (GRAPE) is equipped with a SMART 3000i DVIT rear projection interactive whiteboard and touch screen. It also has a built-in Dell workstation allowing for study sessions and other collaborative activities. Students who want to practice a presentation can also bring their own laptop and connect to the SmartBoard.
Gallery
In other areas, students can brainstorm on whiteboards, work together using wireless laptops or simply gather for informal discussion.
